The primary objective of the Purchasing
Division is to establish efficient and cost effective procedures
for securing supplies and equipment used by all departments of the
city. The purchasing program is an integral part of an overall control
system to see that materials purchased are properly received, accounted
for, placed into inventory, and controlled through an inventory
system.
