The Tulare Redevelopment Agency will continue to administer the First-time Homebuyer Program to qualified homebuyers. The First-Time Homebuyers Program provides funds to assist Homebuyers with steady, reliable income and good credit, purchase their first home located within the city limits of the City of Tulare, as a second trust deed up to $50,000 at 3 % simple interest with deferred interest and payments for the 30-year loan. The First-Time Homebuyer program also includes homebuyer training courses and referrals for credit counseling for individuals or families with poor credit.
Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Income limits for qualification are determined annually by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
