Rehabilitation Assistance Program

The Tulare Redevelopment Agency is proud to offer the Rehabilitation Assistance Program. This Program is to assist qualified homeowner's to make many necessary repairs so the home can become decent, safe and sanitary. The Rehabilitation Assistance Program provides funds to assist very-low and low-income homeowners with home improvements needed within the city limits of the City of Tulare. Loans can be made up to $100,000, and the amount of the loan will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Funds are provided on a first-come, first-served basis following a completed application and loan approval. Priority is given to rehabilitating health and safety items in the homes including lead base paint hazards. Funds are available to all lower income persons regardless of race, color, religion, age, handicap, national origin or sex. Low-income limits by household size are determined annually by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
