The Tulare Police Department Traffic Division is comprised of one sergeant, two motor officers and one community service officer.
The Traffic Division proactively enforces vehicle codes, as well as holding D.U.I. check points, seat belt check points and bicycle rodeos for juveniles as well as handling most accidents.
All of the functions of the Traffic Division is to educate the public as well as reduce the amount of injury accidents and utilize all possible resources to attain that goal.
In addition, the Traffic Division is on call for any major of fatal accidents that otherwise may reduce patrols function for calls for service.
