Section 10.146.090 Conversions of Residential Structures to Condominiums
Any proposal to convert existing apartments to condominiums shall be subject to
the approval of a site plan and the filing and approval of a subdivision map
pursuant to the requirements of Chapter 8.24 (Subdivision Regulations) of the
Tulare Municipal Code. No conversion may be approved without a finding that
such conversion will not negatively impact rental housing in the city. For the
purposes of making this finding, the conversion of more than 20 units in any
calendar year constitutes a negative impact on the rental housing in the city unless
evidence is submitted showing that the vacancy rate is such to justify a greater
number of conversions. (Ord. 05-1990)
